Athena Researcher
Athena and ACRE are looking for a Researcher to serve as a senior strategist to the Athena coalition as a whole. This is a wide-ranging position, reporting primarily to the Athena's Director, as well as ACRE's Co-Director.
About Athena — Athena works on delivering democracy by taking on a primary impediment to a democracy that represents us all and an economy that works for everyone: Amazon.com. We are a growing coalition of local, state-wide and national organizations tackling the corporation’s nefarious size, power, scope and operations, in particular: antimonopoly remedies; local and regional governance; data abuse, especially the racism of surveillance technologies; environmental and climate (in)justices; and working conditions. More about our coalition is at www.athenaforall.org
About the Action Center on Race and the Economy (ACRE) — ACRE drives campaigns that seek to win structural change by directly taking on the financial elite responsible for pillaging communities of color and working-class communities and harming our environment. Through partnerships with organizations involved in local racial, economic, environmental, and educational justice campaigns, we provide strategic campaign coordination and campaign infrastructure with an explicit racial justice analysis. The Political Director will report to the Co-Directors and will work closely with other ACRE staff and with partner organizations. They will work with local and national political representatives to expand the impact of ACRE and move forward our political and legislative agenda. More at www.acrecampaigns.org
