Senior Campaign Researcher    

Location: Remote, NY, DC or CA Preferred

United for Respect (UFR) seeks a Senior Campaign Researcher to develop and implement strategies and tactics to win economic stability and equality for those working at Walmart and America's largest low-wage retail corporations.

Job Responsibilities

The Senior Researcher will work with UFR’s organizing, digital and communications teams and UFR member-leaders to develop campaign strategies and tactics that advance UFR’s agenda with Walmart and across the retail sector and with specific large, multinational employers.  The Senior Researcher will report to an UFR’s Campaigns Director.                        

Job duties include:  working with the Campaigns team to develop and execute campaign strategies and tactics, together with Campaigns team; performing industry analysis, individual and corporate research; at times will work in close collaboration with member-leaders and alliance partners.                                    


  • Demonstrated commitment to economic and social justice and worker or community leadership.

  • Proven ability to lead research campaigns at a social justice or labor organization.    

  • Strong writing and communication skills and technical research experience.

  • Ability to work independently or with a team.

  • Ability to relate to and work with diverse groups of people as well as an understanding of the daily challenges faced by low-income communities of color.

  • Familiarity with earned media and digital strategies.

  • Minimum 5 years of doing comparable campaign research.

  • Ability to speak a second language a plus.

Salary range is $65-$85,000  dependent on experience and location, with excellent health coverage and other competitive benefits.
